Today, we'll do a blast from the past.
This is a photo of the Frog Princess
(resplendent in her Buzz Light Year PJs)
when she was three years old.
Her favorite first book was
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault
and illustrated by Lois Ehlert
(my favorite children's book illustrator!)
I made her this tree for our fridge
and her alphabet letter magnets.
The trunk was made out of brown contact paper/
shelf liner I had leftover from our kitchen cabinets,
the green leaves were cut out of green card stock
and double-sticky-taped to the doors.
So much fun,
I think I'll have to make another one for
Mini Saurus!

Love it. So easy to make!
What a cool idea. My daughter also likes this book - well who doesn't like to say Chicka Chicka Boom Boom? I may try this in her room. Thanks!
Very cute idea. My daughter went through a Buzz Lightyear phase too, and she would have LOVED those pajamas!
What an adorable idea! I wish my refrig whould hold magnets
It is so wonderful! So simple!
My kids are loving this book now! And we have letter magnets already! Yippe! How fun!
Oh, fun! I think I'll make one for the washer/dryer (where my kids play with magnets).
Oh, my kids all LOVED that book!
You make me miss having small kids.
Now stop it! I'm not starting over!
;O)
This was my absolute favorite book as a child! I had the entire thing memorized from front to back and would go around telling the story to everyone without needing the book.
This is an awesome idea!
